A few municipalities in the region are dealing with an Internet outage.
Bell customers in Ignace, Sioux Lookout, Lac Seul, Beardmore, Clearwater Bay and Red Lake are affected.
The outage was first reported in Red Lake around 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
The company cited a cut in a network cable as the cause.
Sioux Lookout and Ignace were both experiencing outages by 8:40 a.m.
“Some customers in Northwestern Ontario have been experiencing a service interruption as a result of network equipment failure serving the communities of Ignace, Cochenour, Lac Seul, Clearwater Bay, Beardmore, Hornepayne, Rush Bay, Hudson, and Balmertown area,” said a spokesperson for Bell Media. “Our teams have been working as quickly as possible to repair the damage and we expect to have repairs completed (on Monday). We apologize for the inconvenience.”
