Jury dismissed again in World Junior sex trial

Another jury dismissal in the sex assault case of five former World Junior hockey players. It’s the second jury to be discharged in the case involving a woman at a London, Ontario hotel room in 2018. Before the trial began, the judge dismissed the initial jury, a reason was not given either time. Michael McLeod, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dube, Carter Hart and Cal Foote are all accused of sexual assault, with McLeod facing a secondary charge. They all pleaded not-guilty. A report from the Canadian Press says the trial is now going to continue by Judge alone. The woman has testified for nine days, the trial began last month.
