Rural Physicians of Canada awards three from NWO

A postumous award has been given to the late Chuck Schmitt of Dryden.

The Society of Rural Physicians of Canada presented him with the Special Recognition Award for Rural Health.

Schmitt was the health care recruiter for the Dryden Regional Health Center when he unexpectedly died in January of 2024.

His children Eric and Molly accepted the award on his behalf.

As well, two Kenora doctors were recognized.

Dr. Laura Noack and Dr. Sean Moore were presented with Rural Service Awards at a banquet in Winnipeg last month.
