Two more people charged in the death of Buifford Cowley

Two more people have been charged in connection to the death of 45-year-old Buifford Cowley of the Whitefish Bay First Nation.

The remains of his body were discovered in September of 2022.

Initially two people were charged, one with second degree murder.

Yesterday a second person was charge with second degree murder.

38-year-old Kyle McLeod also faces one charge of Indignity to a dead body.

On Tuesday of this week, 24-year-old Aliyah Redsky-Cowley of Whitefish Bay was also charged with and Indignity to a dead body and obstructing justice.

They were remanded into custody and are to appear in Kenora Court today.

The OPP and the Treaty Three Police say they are continuing their investigation.
