Four new OPP detachments slated for the region

Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake and Ignace are all slated to get new OPP detachments.

Solicitor General Michael Kerzner announced today new state-of-the-art buildings for a number of communities, including four in northwestern Ontario.

Also getting new detachments are Niagara, Bracebridge, New Liskeard, Burlington, Lancaster, Killaloe, Espanola/McKerrow and Wawa.

In addition, a new headquarters will be built in Thunder Bay.

Kerzner says they will be working with Infrastructure Ontario to tender the construction projects, which also includes the design, and financing of the new detachments.
