Saints girls’ and boys’ soccer teams advance to OFSAA

Two gold medals for the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints at the NWOSSA soccer championships.

The Saints girls won in two straight games to take the best-of-three series against Michipicoten High School from Wawa.

TA won 6-0 at the Tom Nabb Soccer complex this morning after winning the first game yesterday.

The St. Thomas Aquinas boys lost 4-3 this morning to Ecole secondaire catholique de La Verendrye from Thunder Bay in overtime but still won NWOSSA gold on an 8-6 aggregate.

The Saints boys defeated La Verendrye yesterday 5-2.

Both the Saints girls’ and boys’ teams are going onto the All-Ontario championships next week in Welland.
