Florida Panthers win second straight Stanley Cup

The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions once again.

They beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 in Game 6 of the Final at home to clinch the title for the second year in a row.

Sam Reinhart led the way with four goals, including two into an empty net to seal it.

Forward Sam Bennett won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, he led the league with 15 goals.

The Panthers become the first team since the 2021 Lightning to repeat as champions.

Meanwhile the Canadian Cup drought continues, as the Oilers once again couldn’t get it done.

No Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup since 1993.
