Riverside Health Care says it’s making contingency plans in case the Emergency Room at La Verendrye General Hospital has to close this week.
Right now, it says there could be service disruptions due to circumstances beyond their control.
The closure would happen Wednesday night starting at 8 pm to 8 am Thursday morning.
Hospital administration says it is working with local, regional, and provincial partners to explore all available options to avoid this temporary disruption.
In the case of an Emergency Department closure, ambulances will be re-routed to the nearest available Emergency Department.
An update is expected late this afternoon.
