The RCMP say the pilots of two small single engine planes are dead following a mid-air crash south of Steinbach.
Police says the collision took place around 8:45 this morning in the Municipality of Hanover.
Fortunately there were no passengers in either of the planes.
The Transportation Safety Board has been notified of the collision.
