Ignace receives funding to fix up recreation center

The Recreation Center in Ignace is due for some upgrades.

The Township of Ignace is getting just over $935,000 from the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund.

Work will include roof repairs, upgrades to its mechanical system, improved moisture control, electrical improvements, and energy-efficient lighting.

The province is making $200 million available in the fund.

It’s a province-wide initiative to revitalize local facilities and promote healthy, active living across Ontario.
