Suspicious death in Lac Seul First Nation

A death in Lac Seul First Nation is being treated as suspicious, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers were called to the Mahkwa Road area just after midnight on Wednesday night.

One person was found dead at the scene, police said in a news release on Thursday evening.

“Residents of the Lac Seul First Nation community of Frenchman’s Head will continue to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues,” said the release.

OPP are asking anyone who may have information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
