I have been watching this series since its Season 1 release in 2022, and although it does have its cringey moments, I do love a love-triangle romance TV series.
The show follows the main lead Isabel Conklin —also known as Belly — a teenage girl who visits the Cousins Beach house every summer with her family to spend it with her mom’s best friend, Susannah, and her two sons, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. One summer, Belly is all grown up, and that’s when the boys start thinking of Belly as more than just a friend — as a love interest. From there, drama unfolds as Belly tries figuring out her feelings for the two brothers.
I wouldn’t say it’s the best TV series I’ve ever watched, but I love it because of its large fan base. Every time I watch an episode, my Instagram feed fills up with memes about the show, and it’s engaging to have a community commenting about the story or characters.
If you’re considering starting the series, I highly recommend watching it with friends — in person or online. It will elevate your experience from a six to a 10. Some extra commentary makes the show that much more enjoyable.
