It should be a little easier getting around the north end this week.
A portion of 9th Street North should be open by tonight.
The area between 12th Avenue North and Beaver Brae Secondary School has been closed most of the summer for construction.
Paving has been taking place over the last couple of days, and the City of Kenora says the project will wrap up on time.
The road is expected to open on the evening of Tuesday, September 2nd, one day before school begins.
Meanwhile, the western section of 9th Street North remains closed due to a sewer and water project.
The city says construction work between Rupert Road and Main Street Rideout should be complete by mid-October.
A detour around the construction site will remain in place for another 6 or 7 weeks.
