Between The Lines with Arcade Zilinski

Quinn MacNeil Shines at Western Championship with Team Manitoba U16

Kenora’s own Quinn MacNeil continues to make his hometown proud, representing Team Manitoba at the U16 Boys’ Western Championship in his first year with the provincial squad. A former standout with the KBL Selects, Quinn’s performance on the big stage proved he belongs among the best in Western Canada.

Batting an impressive .455 over the course of the tournament, Quinn was a consistent threat at the plate, delivering clutch hits and showing poise beyond his years. His talents weren’t limited to offense—he also took the mound in the semifinal against Team Alberta, where he pitched a strong, composed game that kept his team in contention.

Defensively, Quinn was sharp and reliable, making key plays that showcased his athleticism and baseball IQ. His all-around performance was a testament to the hard work and dedication he’s put into the sport, and it’s clear this won’t be his last time wearing the Team Manitoba jersey.

From his early days in Kenora to the provincial stage, Quinn MacNeil is a name to watch—and a source of pride for the local baseball community.
