Suspect wanted in downtown robbery

A suspect for a robbery in downtown Kenora is still being sought.

The Kenora OPP says they responded to a call for a robbery in progress on September 8th, around 4 pm in the area of Matheson Street South.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived at the scene.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect involved in an altercation with the victim on Chipman Street South, before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous man, wearing a yellow vest, grey t-shirt, grey pants and a baseball hat.
