Closings and openings on National Truth and Reconciliation Day

The City of Kenora says all of its buildings will be closed tomorrow in honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

That includes the Moncrief Construction Sports Center and the Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena.

The only service that will still operate is the Wave micro-transit system.

It’s also a bank holiday, and all federally owned buildings will be closed.

While most government offices will be closed, provincial public sector employees are required to go to work.

The province also does not consider it a holiday so most grocery stores, and retail businesses will remain open, though hours may vary.

Also, all schools will be open tomorrow.
