Homeless survey being conducted this week

Once again, the Kenora District Services Board will be doing a count of the number of homeless people in the region.

The point-in-time enumeration of people living in encampments or living rough will be carried out October 14 to 17th.

This is the fourth count of the homeless in the Kenora District, and the third point-in-time survey.

This is an estimate of people experiencing homelessness on a single day and night.

The KDSB says it uses the results from the count to evaluate past data, assess progress, and to aid in developing and shaping future service plans.
