KLWCF Festival of Trees – Community Day

Date: Saturday, November 29, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Clarion Lakeside Inn

Step into the holiday spirit at Kenora’s beloved Festival of Trees Community Day! This family-friendly event invites you to wander among beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, sip hot apple cider, and nibble on gingerbread cookies. Enjoy live performances from local choirs, musicians, and even a singing dog! It’s a joyful celebration of community and giving, with hundreds attending each year. Proceeds support the Kenora & Lake of the Woods Community Foundation, which has granted over $6 million to local charities since 2004. Don’t miss this magical start to the season.

Kenora Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade

Date: Saturday, November 29, 2025
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: Downtown Kenora (starts and ends at Kenora Curling Club)

Bundle up and bring the family for the Kenora Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade! This year’s theme is “Christmas Vacation”, promising festive floats, holiday lights, and plenty of candy for the kids. The parade winds through the heart of downtown, spreading cheer and community spirit. A perfect way to cap off a day of holiday fun.

Free Walk-In Counselling Services

Date: Every Tuesday
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Location: St. Joseph Health Centre

The holidays can be tough, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, free walk-in counselling is available through the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Mental Health & Addictions program. No appointment needed, and open to anyone 16+. Professional therapists can help with anxiety, stress, grief, and more. You’re not alone, support is here for you.

When Christmas Hurts

Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Location: Lakeside Baptist Church

A gentle, reflective service for those grieving or struggling during the holidays. When Christmas Hurts offers comfort, hope, and community for anyone who has lost a loved one or finds this season difficult. You don’t have to face it alone, come and share in a space of understanding and peace.
