Kenora making another video for Hometown Takeover Canada

The City of Kenora is upping its bid to be selected for Hometown Takeover Canada.

A second video is being shot next Saturday in front of the Main Street Christmas Tree.

The City is seeking residents to come down to the tree on December 20th at 11 am, as part of the video project.

Filming begins at 11am and will last less than an hour.

A $500 gift certificate will also be drawn for anyone who shows up at the video shoot.

Other incentives for people who show up are:

  • Receive one of 150 children’s admission passes to the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Snap a family photo with Santa in front of the Main Street Christmas Tree

This is part of Kenora’s pitch to tell HGTV why Kenora should be chosen for the Hometown Takeover.
