Lake Afternoon Drive: Holiday travelling

89.5 the Lake Lake Afternoon Drive Logo

You travelling for Christmas this year?

Maybe a friend’s been texting: “Come out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs…”

Tempting, but after a few years in B.C., I can confirm: endless drizzle can feel weirdly heavy. One October I swear I saw the sun exactly once.

Give me minus 20 and sunshine any day. Vitamin D at this latitude might be a myth, but hey, it’s the thought that counts.

If you are hitting the highway, take it easy. After last night’s heartbreaking crash on Redditt Road, it’s a good reminder: no rush. Drive defensively. Assume someone will move when they shouldn’t… and be ready.

For more tips (and some fun games) tune into me, Caleb, for the Afternoon Drive on 89.5 the Lake, weekdays 2-6pm.
