Influenza outbreak in one unit at Pinecrest

An influenza outbreak has been confirmed in Unit 3 at Pinecrest Home for the Aged.

At this time, Pinecrest says three patients are affected.

As a result, several measures are being put into place to limit the spread of the flu.

That includes mandatory masking throughout the long term care facility by all staff and visitors.

Large group activities have also been cancelled for Unit 3 and only two essential visitors are permitted in this area until further notice.

If you are feeling unwell, Pinecrest says please refrain from visiting.
