If it feels like you wake up in the dark and drive home in the dark… it’s because you probably do.
And by mid‑January, your summer Vitamin D reserves are basically running on fumes. (Is that how Vitamin D works? Let’s just say yes and move past it.)
Good news, though: Health Canada has told milk and margarine producers to boost their Vitamin D levels. So one cup of milk gets you closer to topping up your daily dose.
And if you’re like me and your stomach wants nothing to do with milk… or you refuse to eat margarine on principle… plenty of plant‑based drinks are fortified too. Of course, a simple supplement usually does the trick as well.
What’s your winter D hack—milk, fish, or a little pill? Catch me, Caleb, Monday to Friday, 2-6pm on 89.5 the Lake… I promise to brighten your day.
