KLWCF finishes 2025 on a positive note

The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation finished off 2025 on a high note.

The Community Foundation launched a Double Your Impact campaign.

The goal was to reach $60,000 and that was easily reached with $107,901 donated.

The $60,000 was then matched by a private donor.

In terms of grants distributed, the Foundation says it gave out $815,874 to local charities and organization, which was a record.

The grants were used for a number of activities including the arts and culture, health and wellness, animal welfare, the environment, social welfare, summer employment for youth and post-secondary educational bursaries.
