Kenora OPP seize illegal firearm

The Kenora OPP say they have laid a number of firearm charges following a call for service Wednesday night.

The call came in around 9:00 in the Cambrian Drive area.

Police the located a man with a loaded firearm, and arrested him after a brief chase on foot.

A 21-year-old man faces a number of charges including:

·      Two counts of Failing to comply with probation order

·      Failure to comply with release order

·      Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·      Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition

·      Carrying concealed weapon

·      Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

·      Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm

·      Obstruct Peace Officer

He appeared in Kenora Court today on the charges.
