Health Unit posts advisory regarding mixed-fentanyl drug

Concern is being expressed about a mixed-Fentanyl drug circulation in parts of northwestern Ontario.

The Northwestern Health Unit says it is pink, purple or rainbow in colour, and potentially mixed with benzodiazepines or other illicit drugs.

An advisory says it provides a prolonged sedation that is hard to overcome.

The drug has been known to be sold as ‘Louis Vuitton.’

There have been several overdoses linked to the drug, where multiple doses of Naloxone were used.
