KCA receives mental health and addictions funding

The Kenora Chiefs Advisory is getting almost $2 million from the federal government for mental health and addiction services.

The money comes from the $11.4 million Emergency Treatment Fund.

The funding will enhance access to mental health addiction services to eight First Nation communities surrounding Kenora.

The goal is to provide private meeting spaces in those communities and reduce barriers to care.

Eight projects across Ontario are getting funding from the feds.
