Kenora bringing back backyard composter program

Kenora residents can once again get their hands on a backyard composter for just $10, as the City brings back the popular program for another year. Registration is now open, and with only a limited number available, it’s a classic first come, first served situation.

Priority goes to City of Kenora residents and households that haven’t picked one up before. There’s also an Open House on Saturday, April 11, where you can grab your bin, ask questions, and officially begin your journey into the glamorous world of composting.

The program is part of the City’s broader sustainability efforts to reduce food waste and support local growing.
