Missed garbage pickup today?

Did you get home from work this evening and find your garbage hadn’t been picked up?

The City of Kenora says recycling and garbage curbside collection for most homes on the Wednesday route — including the area south of Ninth Street North to Laurenson Creek — was not completed today, April 8, because of weather conditions.

The next collection day for the Wednesday route is April 15, 2026.

If you need to get rid of items right away, you can take them to the Transfer Station at 401 Mellick Ave.

The city thanks residents for their patience and understanding. Easier said than done if you got home to discover the local deer spent the day treating your garbage like an all-you-can-eat buffet.
