Environment Canada says freezing rain expected, power outages possible

A special weather statement is in effect for parts of Northwest Ontario.

Environment Canada says drivers can expect ice buildup of 2 to 4 millimeters due to freezing rain, and that the storm will continue through the morning, changing to rain this afternoon.

They add that roads and walkways will become slippery, and local power outages are possible.
