Lake level continues to rise

Water levels on Lake of the Woods continue to go up as the spring melt continues.

The Lake of the Woods Control Board says there has also been an increase in precipitation on the east side of the drainage basin.

Water levels on the lake went up 5.5 centimeters last week, as are expected to increase by a similar amount over the next seven days.

The Control Board says the lake is within the normal range for this time of the year, and no further increase in outflow from the Norman Dam is expected.
