Suspects at large near Ignace, hitchhiker warning issued

There is an active OPP investigation near Ignace as two suspects remain at large.

Police are asking the public not to pick up hitchhikers in the area.

One suspect is described as an Indigenous male in his 20s with short black hair. He is approximately 5’9″ and 150 lb. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and black or dark grey jogging pants.

The second suspect is described as an Indigenous female in her early 20s with shoulder-length hair. She is approximately 5’4″ and 110 lb. She was last seen wearing a black sweater with yellow on the arm.

Authorities have not provided a reason for the suspects being wanted.
