Construction season unofficially begins today.
The City of Kenora says a couple of significant projects will start on Lakeview Drive.
One is the rehabilitation of the one kilometer stretch of the road from the Winnipeg River West Branch Bridge to the hospital bridge.
Work is expected to last until the end of September.
The other project is re-making the intersection at Parson Street and Lakeview Drive.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of June.
The city says much of the work will be done overnight from 7 pm until 7 am, in order to have as little impact as possible on traffic.
During that time, the road will be down to one lane of traffic and the sidewalk will be closed as a new multi-use path will replace the existing sidewalk.
