Andrea Loon, a resident of Grassy Narrows First Nation passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
Greeting her at the Hunting Grounds is her baby Khadyn, nephew Matthew, Brothers Pauly and Trajan, Great-Grandparents Marie Graham & Jim Swain, Henry & Evelyn Land, Camille Fobister & Amanda Hyacinthe, Peter & Marie Loon, Grandparents Ronald Keesick, Beverly Assin, Russell & Marilyn Loon, Tinia Noon, Dad Stedman Loon, Shoomish Carlo, Kookum Audrey, Uncles Quentin, Leroy, Damien, Auntie Wanda and many more family members too numerous to mention.
Andrea will be lovingly remembered by her babies, Stedman, Caio, and Chester. Her mom Tina (John), siblings Kambria, Josie, Paxton, Charmaine (Dean), Cleo, her partner Kenneth Meeseewaypetung, 2nd Mom Miranda (Chad), Aunties Anita (Jason), Chrissy (Nate), Jessica, Valerie, Charlotte, Sarah, Carmelia, Uncles Isiah, Zachary, Kookums Maryann, Maria, Lillian, Laura Lee, Gloria K., Brenda Kejick, Tammy K., Mary (Dayton) Shoomis Chris Swain, nephew Connor, nieces Avera, Avery, cousins Babiiwe, Miki, Noden, Konrad, Kristin, Tyson, Knoa, Kaitlyn and many more from the Loon, Assin, Hyacinthe, Fobister, Keesick (Kejick) and Swain family trees, and her best friend Matthew Cody.
Andrea was a beautiful young woman who loved to make people laugh with her humour. She enjoyed doing her makeup and her hair, watching her favorite TV show Orange Is the New Black, and she was a big fan of Montreal Canadiens. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family making memorable moments.
A wake service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation beginning at 2:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10:00am at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation with cremation to follow.
