Water levels on Lake of the Woods continue to rise

Despite a couple of increases in outflow from Lake of the Woods into the Winnipeg River, water levels continue to rise.

The lake increase about 6 centimeters this past week, and is expected to go up another 4 to 6 centimets over the next seven days.

Despite the increase in water level, the Lake of the Woods Control Board says it will not be increasing outflows through the Norman Dam.

Water levels on the Winnipeg River from Kenora to Whitedog are not expected to go up tis week.
