Catherine Green was born in Kenora, Ontario on July 29, 1968, and passed away May 19, 2026 with her daughter Chiata by her side.

She was predeceased by her mother Rhea Green and father Jimmy Mandamin, her foster parents James and May Mandamin, Edward Sky and Frank Greene (Viola Mandamin).

She is survived by her siblings Rhea, Laura, Debbie (Jeff), Isabel, Patricia, Eden, Charmaine, Tania, Vicky (foster mom), Marvin (Evaleen) (foster parents), Victor (Irene). Her daughters Chiata and Stephanie, foster mom Diane Sky, and her numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Kenneth Chum for the love and care shown to Cathy over their many years together.

Cathy was a beloved mother, sister, kookum and friend to many. She took great pride in helping where she was needed in both communities, Cathy being a teacher in many programs she did in the community such as Fall Harvest, ice derbies, March break activities as helper in ceremony and passing the knowledge down, always willing to help others as she had a big heart for everyone. She loved fishing, being in the lake, loved value village and GT boutique (giant tiger), of course shopping, cribbage she loved all of her family members near and far.

A Wake Service will be held at Shoal Lake 40 Band Office Gymnasium on May 23, 2026, at 11:00 am. Funeral Service will be held at Shoal Lake 40 Band Office Gymnasium on May 24, 2026, at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Shoal Lake # 40 First Nation.
