We are more than halfway through August, but Kenora still has plenty of summer activities and events to check out. From markets to live music, here is a look at what’s happening around town this week.
Matiowski Farmers’ Market

It’s the 12th week of the Matiowski Farmers’ Market!
It runs every Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion. Even if you miss it today, you’ve got plenty of chances to check it out.
Each year, local and regional vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods, handmade goods, art, textiles, meats and more.
It’s one of the highlights of Kenora during the summer, so check it out when you can!
Live at the Village – Jackson Klippenstein

If you want to catch live music at the Brewers Village, Jackson Klippenstein takes over the 89.5 The Lake Stage on Friday, Aug. 21 with opening performer Lexie Alcock!
Klippenstein plays a mix of Indie, Folk, Blues and Rock, offering something for everyone to enjoy!
Doors open at 6 p.m., the show starts at 7 p.m. and you can purchase your tickets for $22 online or in store.
Vendor Market for Paws

Returning this year is the Vendor Market for Paws under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22!
