Outflow decreased from Lake of the Woods

The Lake of the Woods Control Board has authorized a decrease in outflow from the Norman Dam.

That’s because extremely dry conditions persist in the drainage basin and very low inflows into the lake.

The Control Board says the lake level has steadily fallen since the beginning of August.

As a result, outflow is being reduced from 200 to 150 meters per second as the drought conditions persist.

The water levels below the Norman Dam will drop by 8 centimeters and two centimeters near the Dalles.
