No one injured in fire on Rabbit Lake Road

Kenora Fire and Emergency Services says no one was injured in an apartment fire on Rabbit Lake Road.

The 3 unit, single storey building  was heavily damaged last night as the fire got into the attic space and spread laterally across the entire structure.

Only one occupant was home at the time of the fire and escaped unharmed.

One  fire fighter was sent to hospital as a precaution for heat exhaustion.

It is believed the fire started in the kitchen of one of the apartments.

The origin and cause of the fire  will take place later today.
