The City of Kenora has passed both it’s Sewer and Water and Solid Waste Budgets.
Council approved the spending estimates earlier this week at their open meeting.
In terms of the Sewer and Water budget, there is a $1.2 million difference from last year.
That includes an increase in the water rate of 3.1 percent raising $364,000.
An increase in fees and charges will raise another $115,000.
The budget also includes $200,000 for repairs at the wastewater treatment plant.
On the Solid Waste side, there is a $295,000 increase from last year as a result of new fees and charges.
