Council looks one final time at municipal budget

Kenora city council will take one final look at the 2024 municipal budget.

A special meeting is being held this afternoon to review both the capital and operating budgets, and see if there are areas that can be cut.

Right now the budget contains a 4.17 percent increase.

Part of the meeting is being held in-camera as mayor Andrew Poirier updates council about his visit last week to meeting with two cabinet ministers.

The actual budget is expected to passed at the final open meeting of 2023 on December 20th.
