Water levels are going down slowly, but they are still higher than the Lake of the Woods Control Board would like.
As a result, an increase in outflow has been authorized for Thursday.
Water levels on the Winnipeg River will rise about 5 centimeters below the dam after the increase and 2 centimeters at the Dalles.
The Control Board is trying to draw down water levels prior to freeze up.
In the past week, the lake has gone down about 1 centimeter.
