The Norway House First Nation in Manitoba has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with six First Nations in northwestern Ontario.

Kingfisher Lake, Wapakeka, Kasabonika, Big Trout Lake, Wunnamin Lake and Wawakapewin make up the TKG Group.

The communties say the five year agreement encourages collaboration on significant economic development opportunities.

That includes things like housing, resource development, training and skilled trades.

The two groups also say the MOU allows them to identify and collaborate on major projects.
