Chefs Plate ranks best poutine provinces

Canadians love their cheese curds, gravy, and fries.

Chefs Plate set out to find the best province for poutine.

New Brunswick topped the list. Nova Scotia ranked fifth and Ontario placed second last.

The meal box provider looked at several factors, including the percentage of restaurants in each province offering poutine, along with TripAdvisor ratings and cost.

Their research also found Newfoundland and Labrador had the most affordable poutine, with 22 per cent of the restaurants in the sample categorized as being ‘cheap’.

It also found Prince Edward Island had the least affordable options, followed by Alberta.

La Poutine week runs from February 1 to 7.
