COVID outbreak at Pinecrest grows

The Pinecrest Home for the Aged says it’s COVID outbreak has now spread to 14 residents of the long term care home.

The outbreak is affecting all units.

As a result, general visitation has been cancelled until further notice, but each resident of the home can still have two essential caregivers.

Residents are also urged to remain in the own units and essential caregivers are being asked to wear personal protective equipment.

As an added precaution, Pinecrest officials says they will be re-introducing active screening upon entrance to the building,
