Coldest Night of the Year meets fundraising goal

Organizers of the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser say they met their target.

With donations still trickling in, early estimates suggest $32,435 was raised from the walk on Saturday evening.

66 walkers took part this year with 17 teams involved.

The Kenora Legal Clinic and their team All is not Frost was the biggest contributor with $8,470 in donations.

Money raised will go the Fellowship Center and Jubilee Church.

Nationally, the Coldest Night of the Year generated 13.4 million dollars, which was it’s best year ever in terms of fundraising.
