Saints senior girls face must win situation at OFSAA

The St. Thomas Aquinas senior girls volleyball team has a 1-1 record so far at the All-Ontario “A” championships in Elliott Lake.

The Saints won their first game this morning in the OFSAA round robin by downing Mere Theresa from Hamilton in two straight sets (25-17, 25-17).

TA then lost their second match 2 sets to 1 (19-25, 25-21, 6-15) against Quinte Christian High School from Belleville.

The Saints lost their last game on Monday in straight sets to Hamilton District Christian High School (25-11, 25-17).

That sets up a must win situation in the final round robin game at noon today against Renaissance Catholic High School from Vaughan.

St. Thomas Aquinas and Quinte are currently tied for second place.

The top two teams from each pool advance to the quarter-final round this afternoon.
