Saints lose out in the OFSAA consolation semis

The St. Thomas Aquinas senior girls volleyball team is out at the All-Ontario “A” championships in Elliott Lake.

The Saints beat Brampton Christian Academy Tuesday afternoon in the quarter-finals to advance, but lost this morning to Ecole Secondaire EJ Lajeunesse from Windsor in the semi-finals.

Lajeunesse now advances to this afternoon’s consolation final against Le Caron from Ottawa.

Coach Megan Derouard says the girls represented the community and the school very well.

“From where we started 4 months ago to where we finished today, is incredible. What they accomplished this season is remarkable. These girls have a lot to be proud of, and I’m beyond proud of them”.

The Saints now go home with a record of 3 and 2.
