Keewatin Channel Bridge undergoing inspection

You might notice some unusual activity on the Keewatin Channel Bridge over the next few days.

Stantec Engineering is conducting assessment of the bridge.

That’s prior to the steel girders on the bridge being painted later this year.

The total cost of that project is in excess of $4.2 million.

The assessment work will take place under, and on both side of the span and engineers will be using rope access to check out bridge components.

There won’t be any delays to traffic or pedestrians while the work is being carried out.
