Manitoba man killed on Highway 44

A 20 year old man from Tyndall, Manitoba has been killed in a single vehicle collision on Highway 44 near Beausejour.

The incident took place around 10:30 Tuesday night, but the vehicle wasn’t discovered until Wednesday morning at 9:00.

The Whitemouth RCMP say the vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 44 when it hit the south shoulder, overcorrected, crossed the highway, and entered the north ditch then into the bush, striking a tree.

It is believed speed was a factor in the collision.

Police say the driver was the lone occupant and pronounced dead at the scene.
