FIREFLY unveils newly renovated space at Cameron Bay

FIREFLY says it has a new treatment area at it’s Cameron Bay offices.

The childcare space has been redeveloped.

Jackie Hummelbrunner is the Director of Service Excellence and Partnerships and says the new area serves a number of purposes.

“This was an opportunity to create some purpose-built space, but also have an updated space for many of our clients, who possibly didn’t feel comfortable in our current spaces, because they were quite traditional…very clinic based or medically set up,” explains Hummelbrunner.

She says they were able to renovate the child care space because the Kenora District Service Board took over their child care services, and they had the room available.

“We put a lot of care into making sure that our space was welcoming and comfortable and met the full range of age groups that our services are for. It helped us to be able to many things we haven’t had in the past.”

An open house for the newly renovated space will be held on Friday afternoon from 3 until 5 pm.
